Commit to a healthier lifestyle and receive extra support through the busy and often calorie-laden holiday season when you register for Omada. Omada is a digital lifestyle program that helps you make changes to habits around food, exercise, sleep and stress, to help lower your risk of diabetes, high cholesterol and heart disease.
The focus of this year’s diabetes awareness campaign is on pre-diabetes and prevention. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 10.5% of Americans are living with a form of diabetes. Type 2 diabetes is the most common type of the disease, affecting between 90% to 95% of people with diabetes. In fact, the CDC says more than 1 in 3 Americans – approximately 88 million – are pre-diabetic and the majority don’t know it.
Type 2 diabetes can be prevented with a healthy lifestyle and by making small changes, and it’s possible to prevent type 2 diabetes and even reverse your prediabetes.
